Senator Durbin gives us another half-hearted apology:
"Some may believe that my remarks crossed the line," the Illinois Democrat said. "To them I extend my heartfelt apologies."
Why can't he (or any other Democrat) just come out and say, "What I did was wrong. I'm sorry"?
Instead he has to say that "some" "may" believe that his remarks crossed the line. And his apologies are offered to "them". To the rest of you, "fight the power, man!".
What a bunch of weasels.
One really has to wonder what the def'n of a "heartfelt apology" is for someone who won't even admit that he did wrong...
