So Pamela Geller holds a "Draw Mohammed" cartoon contest, it's attacked by a couple of Muslims who are shot dead, and the woman who they were attempting to murder is blamed for the incident!

I'm not surprised that the MSM and the usual Leftist morons are attacking her. What really pisses me off is that a lot of supposedly Conservative people are saying that she brought the attack on herself!

Aside from the "she was just asking to be raped" aspect of this story, the fact that they are justifying attempted murder because of a fucking cartoon is infuriating.

It's as if, after years of brainwashing by the Left that "Islam is a religion of peace", they've developed Stockholm Syndrome and forgot what a bunch of evil bastards practice that religion. Why would they possibly give these Muslims a pass on attempted mass murder? No other "religion" does these things.

Catholics don't scream, "Jesus is Lord" and blow themselves and others up because someone ate meat on a Friday.

Jews don't team up and shoot up shopping malls because someone ate pork.

Buddhists don't attempt mass murder because somebody ate a fucking hamburger!

No, only those who follow Islam, the biggest scam ever perpetrated by one man, do these things.

How many thousands of times have we seen these barbarians murder innocent people? And, yet, when they do it this time, the people who are targeted for drawing fucking cartoons are blamed for the Muslims' actions!

Andres Serrano puts a statue of Jesus in a jar of his piss and calls it art. Do Christians try to murder him? No. And, if they did, would he be accused of "provoking" them? Of course not! That cop-out is only reserved for the savages who practice Islam for some reason.

Christians complain about it and express their belief about how wrong it is. They are told to "lighten up".

Muslims try to murder people who are drawing cartoons, and we're told that they were "provoked".

This is just the latest example that tells me that this country is so fucked up, so backwards, so upside down, that we shouldn't even call it America anymore. Using that name to describe what this country has become is a huge insult to the America that once was.

It's a good thing that I'm not a Muslim, or I might act upon that insult to something that I hold sacred.

So, women can "self-identify" as men ans vise versa. In fact, the Leftists tell us, people can self-identify as anything that they want.

The next time I'm talking to a Lefty, I'm going to self-identify as a black, disabled lesbian. Then get all pissed off when they refuse to believe me.

The Straw That Broke the Elephant's Back

For the past few years, the Republican party has been hanging on to my loyalty by a thread. That thread just snapped.

John Boehner and the Republican establishment in the House are punishing their fellow representatives for representing the wishes of their constituents and voting against Boehner for Speaker of the House. In other words, the GOP elite are punishing fellow Republicans for keeping their campaign promises.

I would expect that kind of behavior from the Democrats - or any other Communist political organization - but to see it happen, again, in the political party that I have backed for 30 years is just too much.

Unless Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin move to Minnesota, I refuse to ever vote for another Republican.

It was great when Michele Bachman was my Representative. There was no sense of "holding my nose" when I voted for her. But redistricting screwed that up for me and gave me the choice to vote for the squish, Eric Paulson, who will do anything and everything that Boehner tells him to do (last November I wrote in Chris McDaniel instead of voting for the fool Paulson. Yeah, I know he was running for the Senate, but message sent).

And, speaking of Michele Bachman, her replacement, Tom Emmer, lost no time in adapting to Washington and voting for Boehner. That really does disappoint me. Emmer used to be on a morning radio show on KTLK in Minneapolis/St. Paul. He constantly aligned himself with the Tea Party and railed against the GOP establishment. He talked a good game, but the very first thing that he did in the House was to abandon the Tea Party and vote for Boehner. Pure bullshit.

So now I work against both parties and hope that someone with some name recognition will finally abandon the Republican party and start the Conservative party.

Now is the time.

In the mid-1800's the Republican Party was formed because of dissatisfaction with the Whig party. The Whig party was destroyed forever.

Here's some irony for you: the Republican true-believers, whose party was formed as a third party, are now telling us that a third party is not the way to change the system.

I'm sure that the Whigs were saying the same thing in 1850.

I don't know why anyone is surprised that Obama is working to normalize relations with Cuba. Here's an alternate headline:

Down With the Struggle

My ancestors came from Africa.

Granted, that was 200,000 years ago, but doesn't that make me an African-American? If there's some kind of time limit on when your ancestors came from Africa that makes you a "true" African-American, somebody is going to have to explain the logic to me - because I don't see any. Some peoples' ancestors came out of Africa 300 years ago. Some came out 200,000 years ago. What's the difference?

Frankly, based on the passage of time since emigration, I'd say that people like me have a much better claim to be the "true" African-Americans.

Therefore, I will henceforth self-identify as an African-American in all interactions, on all forms and whenever I'm asked for my ethnicity.

I would also encourage you to do the same. Can you imagine the chaos that we could create in the race/industrial complex?

Suddenly African-Americans would be vastly over-represented in everything from loans to jobs to college admissions, etc.

Whenever a liberal criticized us in any way we could scream "RACIST!" at them or accuse them of being race-traitors.

If we were passed over for jobs, government programs or affirmative-action programs, we could claim discrimination based on our skin color.

And, when liberals argued that we weren't really African-Americans, they would have to finally admit that their "concern" is based on nothing but skin color alone.

We could also ask them who they are to question us? They gave us the idiotic phrase, "self-identification". Make them put their money where their mouth is. I have more of a basis, based on my ancestry, to self-identify as an African-American than Bob does to self-identify as a woman. I have archaeological evidence. Bob still has a dick.

Hell, the puzzled looks and discomfort alone while watching the wheels in liberals' heads grind when a white guy like me tells them that I'm African-American will be vastly entertaining in itself.

How Times Have Changed

In 1969, Charles Manson and his "Family", left-wing hippies all, killed a bunch of people, hoping to start a race war by blaming it on blacks.

Since 2009, the left-wing President of the United States of America and his "Family/Administration" have been doing everything that they can to start a race war by blaming the plight of blacks on white people.

Insane or Stupid*? The Eternal Question

To be a Leftist, you have to believe that Conservatives:

• Hate their wives, sisters, daughters, mothers and any female friends that they have.
• Hate every non-heterosexual person that they've ever met.
• Hate every non-white person that they've ever met.

Do they really believe these things? I have to believe that the vast majority of them do. After the hundreds of "debates" that I've gotten into with them, I can believe no different.

How is it that they can see people like me and still believe these things?

My daughter is my life. I brag about her constantly. Anyone who knows me knows that I love her more than life itself. I love my mother and my sisters. Hell, I even get along with my ex-wife.

But I hate women.

I have gay friends. Not the kind who are purposefully flamboyant and constantly reminding you that they're gay. Anyone who defines their entire lives by who they want to rub their genitals against has mental issues, and I choose not to associate with them. But the percentage of my friends who are gay is probably about the same as that of the general population.

But I hate gays.

I have black friends. I have hispanic friends, I have asian friends. In addition, I work with "people of color" (nice pigeonholing, Lefties!), and I get along with them every bit as well as I get along with my white friends and co-workers.

But I'm a racist.

How can Leftists look at my life and those like me, know our political views, and still believe that we're sexist, homophobic racists?

The only two explanations are that they're insane or stupid*. They are, somehow, able to hold two diametrically opposed thoughts in their heads, and believe both of them**!

When you think that half of the country is in this mental state, you should be very, very afraid - and plan accordingly.

*You could argue that there is a third possibility: uninformed/ignorant, but that equates with "stupid" in my book.

**Orwell described it perfectly as "Doublethink". But that was, supposedly, a work of fiction. It's frightening how close we are to the reality. of 1984.

Cognitive Dissonance? What Cognitive Dissonance?

Feminists: Strong, independent women  who need someone (mostly men) to fix everything for them that they don't like and take care of their needs from cradle to grave.

They also want the government to keep it's laws off their bodies. Unless it's Obamacare. In which case, they want the government to apply thousands of regulations written by faceless bureaucrats (mostly men) to their bodies as often as possible.

They are women who admire self-made women who pulled themselves up by the bootstraps and  worked their way up from the bottom to become happy and successful, multi-faceted, talented winners. Unless it's Sarah Palin or any number of other Conservative women.

Their idea of a strong, successful woman is Hillary Clinton whose only accomplishment was latching onto a successful man who has done nothing but (and continues to) humiliate her for 40 years.

Or Michelle Obama, who was handed a made-up $122,000/year job at a hospital for which she had no credentials and no experience - just for marrying the up-and-coming state Senator, Barack Obama. When Barack became a US Senator, her salary suddenly leapt to $317,000/year. I'm sure that it was because she did such a great job.

Oh, and the hospital just happened to receive over $1 million after Barack became a US Senator. And for some odd reason eliminated the position after she left.

Debbie Wasserman-Shulz, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer...the stories of these feminists are almost always the same: everything handed to them on a silver platter. Usually by men.

But Feminists can look at all of this and see nothing - absolutely nothing -that disagrees with their "strong, independent, feminist" narrative.

It's almost like they're using this narrative to advance a Leftist agenda. Either that or they're insane. It's a toss-up.

A Bit Too Perfect - Getting My Geek On

I've always found this fascinating. The forces of the universe are balanced to an unbelievable degree. Does this speak of "Intelligent Design"? I don't know. But, if it doesn't, it almost certainly means that there are an infinite number of universes - and that we just happened to be born in one in which physical forces are balanced to an unimaginably precise degree.

For instance, if these three parameters weren't met, life could not exist:

Gravitational forces, one second after the Big Bang, must have been balanced to one part in 10¹⁵. That's 10 followed by 15 zeroes, or one in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000.

The "cosmological constant" - the rate at which space expands or contracts - must be exactly one part in 10¹²⁰. That's 10 followed by 120 zeroes! And, no, I'm not typing that.

The distribution of energy/mass (remember, Einstein says that the two are the same thing: E=MC²) after the Big Bang must have been precisely one part in 10¹⁰¹²³

That's 10 billion - followed by 123 zeroes.

So there's your choice: either there are an infinite number of universes (as string theory, et al predicts) and we are mind-boggingly, incredibly, amazingly lucky to have been born into just the right one, or something out there designed this little slice of heaven that we inhabit.

I kind of lean towards the latter. Because believing that those numbers are just a coincidence takes an amazing amount of, shall we say, faith.

Leftism is a Childish Belief System

 I have always believed that Leftists were, emotionally, children. I have modified that belief slightly: They are extremely insecure children.

• They believe that everything must be "fair".
• They are obsessed with "bullies".
• They think that other people should give them free stuff.
• They don't want to give other people their stuff.
• They are unable to think ahead to possible consequences of their actions.
• They don't like to follow other peoples' rules.
• Their rules must be obeyed.
• They'll lie right to your face, no matter how obvious it is that they're lying.
• They get upset when you point out their lies
• They cannot stand being told that they're wrong.
• They get extremely upset and resort to name-calling when they are losing an argument.
• They think that everyone should have the same amount of everything.
• They think that it's OK if they have more than other people.
• They will do anything to gain the approval of their peers.
• They insist that they are unique, although they are clones of their peers.
• They will call you names - as long as you pose no physical threat to them.
• They think that if we're nice to people, they'll be nice back to us.
• They can't stand being told what to do (unless it's by their friends/superiors).
• They don't learn from their mistakes.
• They change the rules in the middle of the game.
• They really, really suck at logic.
• They pretend to like things just to be accepted by their peers.
• They never take the blame for anything bad.
• They always take the credit for anything good.
• They use words that they don't really understand (i.e. "rights", "ignorant").
• They get a thrill out of being "naughty".
• They are envious/resentful of anyone who is superior to them in any way.
• They can't tell the difference between fantasy and reality.
• They think that it's OK to just take something if they want it.
• They don't really understand how money/economics works.
• They don't understand the phrase, "We can't afford it". They just want it.
• They don't want to hear anything that disagrees with their beliefs.
• They believe that anyone who disagrees with them is stupid/ignorant.
• They say, "But that's different!" when they make the same mistakes as other people.
• They have no grasp of human nature.
• They don't understand why they can't just do whatever they want to do.
• They believe that they are the center of the universe.
• They don't really care about their political issues. "Raising awareness" is just another way of screaming, "Pay attention to me!"
• They whine. Constantly. Incessantly.
• They don't understand that respect is earned, not their birthright.
• They get absolutely irate when they're laughed at.

Odd That Nobody - NOBODY - Is Mentioning This

In all of the coverage of the Kurds and their fight against the Islamic State, I find it odd that nobody - not even the more intelligent and well-respected commentators are mentioning one thing: The Kurds are Communists.

Their largest group is called the PKK, which stands for the Kurdistan Workers' Party. A name that Lenin himself would have approved of. Although they have been "evolving" recently, it's much like the "Liberals" evolving into the "Progressives": The name has changed, but not the philosophy.

The KDP - or Kurdistan Democratic Party - was created/backed by the Soviet Union against the monarchs of Iraq and Iran in the 1940's. Notice the use of the word, "Democratic". Virtually all political organizations with the word "Democrat" in them are Communist (including here in America). The KDP is no exception.

There are other, smaller, offshoots, but those are the main players.

So why haven't I heard, even once, from any commentator - Conservative or otherwise - that we are allying with Communists? I find that very strange.

It seems as if Conservative leaders believe that our support of the Kurds will diminish if they let it be known who the Kurds really are. That's kind of disturbing.

Usually the Conservative leadership has more faith in their ideological brethren. Purposely omitting the fact that the Kurds are Communists seems like something that the Democrats would pull on their low-information voters because, as we all know, Democrat leaders have no faith in the intelligence of their voters. And rightly so, in their case. But Conservatives are more well-informed, intelligent and realistic than the fools who vote Democrat. We can handle the truth.

Are we right to ally with the Kurds against IS? Probably. The enemy of my enemy and all that.

But I can't help but think that we are arming another Mideast group to fight our proxy war who will, in time, turn around and attack us. We've seen that scenario play out too many times in the Middle East.Why would this be any different?

My guess for the 2014 midterm Senate elections? Republicans will gain a few seats, but not enough to take the Senate.

And, after the "Republican wave" turns out to be a ripple, guess who the GOP Establishment (GOPE) is going to blame. That's right: Conservatives.

How do I know this? Easy: because that's what Democrats will/would do.

Just like the Democrat clones that they've become, the GOPE never, ever takes blame for anything that goes wrong. Like the cowardly Democrats, it's always someone else's fault. And, like the Democrats, the GOPE blames everything on Conservatives.

And you know what? They may, for once, be right. My Senators and state are beyond hope. There's a slim-to-none chance that Al Franken will be voted out of office by the know-nothing people in MN.

However, I will not vote for my Representative*, Erik Paulsen, either. He just keeps his head down and does what John Boehner tells him to do.

And, if we had a Senator here in Minnesota who was a RINO, I wouldn't vote for him/her, either. And I'd bet that there are millions of Conservatives like me who are so sick of the insults ("knuckleheads", "whacko-birds") and threats to "crush" us, not to mention their Democrat-like tactics (Remember Mississippi!), that we'll write in "Ronald Reagan" and "Sarah Palin" or - better yet - "Thad Cochran"" when it comes time to fill out the ballot.

So go ahead, Mr. Boehner and Mr. McConnell: blame me when this election doesn't live up to the hype. I may or may not be truly to blame - after all, you morons are amazingly good at screwing up elections - but I will wear it as a badge of honor that I didn't stand with you and your slow-track Socialist agenda.

If you criticize Shrillary during the upcoming Presidential campaign by calling her "bossy" - or anything else that points out her insane bitchiness - you will be attacked as a misogynist what is waging the "War on Womyn".

Just Another Liberal Narcissist

Hero of the Left, Wendy Davis, is running for Governor of Texas. To no one's surprise, her biography is one, big lie.

The point that I'd like to address is the fact that she lost custody of her children to her now-ex-husband.

Speaking from experience, the only ways that a woman loses custody of her children are either, a) she has a serious substance-abuse problem or, b) she doesn't even try to gain custody.

I doubt that she's a drunk or a drug-addict, so she apparently didn't even try to gain custody of either of her children, including the child from her first marriage.

What kind of woman just walks away from her children because her career is more important? Wow.

This may seem like just a Texas issue, but I'm sure that her long-term goal would be national office. A woman ambitious enough to walk away from her children for her career would settle for nothing else.

Luckily, the people of Texas are smarter than that. Her chances of winning are slim-to-none.

Chrysler has just announced production of a new super-mini sub-compact car named in honor of President Obama. Introducing: the "Dodge Responsibility".

It has one "forward" speed (plodding), and veers erratically and unpredictably at every bump in the road. It also slams into reverse any time that it runs into a healthcare problem, and will remain that way until after the next election cycle.

It has an adjustable front suspension that will lower the front end whenever it is in the presence of a foreign leader - particularly those of the tyrannical, communist or middle-eastern persuasion.

In a revolutionary feat of engineering, It's hybrid (half-white, half-black) engine runs on hot air and racism which makes it a "green" vehicle, even though the gasses spewing from its tailpipe are extremely damaging to the social environment.

You can get it in any color that you want, as long as it is red.

The Obama Method of Governance

1) Make a speech telling America what you, personally, want and expect.

2) Go golfing. Attend some fundraisers. Go on vacation.

3) When what you, personally, wanted to happen doesn't happen, make a speech telling Americans how "disappointed" and "angry" you are that they didn't do what you, personally, wanted them to do. Be sure to demonize your political opponents for political gain (not because you actually believe what you're saying).

4) Repeat for next issue.

Fooled Themselves Again

By refusing to allow Republicans to delay Obamacare, Obama and his Congressional minions may have just painted themselves into a corner: They now have no choice but to let Obamacare continue, no matter how badly it explodes in their faces.

The websites don't work and probably never will work without a major overhaul, which will take a long time. But people will begin getting fined for not having health care coverage before it's fixed. And that's only the immediate problem. Many more will surface as time goes on.

The best option would be to acknowledge that it isn't ready and delay it. But now they can't do that without being hugely embarrassed and acknowledging that they were just trying to damage Republicans during the shutdown. In other words, they'd have to acknowledge that they were playing political games with real people's lives.

But, if they do decide to delay it, they know that their fellow Leftist lapdogs in the media will cover for them by endlessly repeating their ridiculous justifications, which will amount to, "But this is different!"

Just like the children that they are.

Math Is Hard

The Congressional Republicans' approval rating stands in the low 20's. Which means that about 80% of the people disapprove of them.

If we go with the usual figures of Democrats and Republicans each claiming about 40% of the voters, and the remaining 20% being independent, we should come out with a figure of 60% disapproval (40% Dem plus 20% independent. Assuming, incorrectly, that all independents voted Democrat Which will just make my point that much clearer).

Instead, we have a disapproval rating of 80%. Where did that other 20% come from? You got it: the Republicans have managed to piss off half of their voters! Alright, hey! Alright, good job guys! Let's go get some shawarma!

If ever there were a time to start a third party, now would be it. We have 20% of the Republicans pissed at the party. If we can pick up even half of the independents, we're already starting with 30% of the population. Pick off some more of the Republicans - which shouldn't be hard once those on the fence have a place to go - and some more of the independents, and we have a very competitive Party.

And John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and all of the rest of the cowardly Republican rats can go down with their neo-liberal ship.

So Nancy "Old Mother Hubbard" Pelosi says that "the cupboard is bare" and that it's impossible to cut the Federal Government any further.

The International Communists have come right out and said that they are working to dominate the world. Everything that has weakened this country in the past 100+ years just “happens” to align perfectly with Communism.

It seems to me that the people who believe in all of the “shadow” groups (i.e the Illuminati, Bilderbergs, Masons, etc.) are overthinking the issue. They’re just making it much more complicated than it is.

I guess that it’s just more “intriguing” than saying that the Communists are trying to take over the world because the Communists have said that they are trying to take over the world.

It's Coming

We are facing some very, very bad things in this country.

The government depends on our belief in their legitimacy to enable them to force us to do what they want us to do. Ultimately, at the point of a gun.

Don't believe me? Quit paying your taxes for awhile. The guy who shows up to arrest you will have a gun on his hip.

Their problem is that Americans are becoming less and less convinced of the government's legitimacy. It's extremely obvious, even to those who are barely paying attention, that the people "in charge" of this country are running it for their own benefit, either financially or ideologically.

Now, most of the Republicans aren't trying very hard to change the system to fit their ideological beliefs. They don't think that the government should have much to say about a "free-market" system. That being said, the Republicans in Washington are desperate to hold on to their well-paid positions, their power and all of their perks.

The Democrats - now they are a different story. There are no more "moderate" Democrats in power. They are all radicals of the 1960's Leftist/Communist bent. Every one of them. No? Name one who isn't. I'll wait. And they want nothing more than to "transform" America into the Socialist utopia of their dreams.

And, now that the Democrats have the Presidency, the Democrats in Congress are ceding all power to Obama and doing everything that they can to assist him in the "fundamental transformation" of America into a Socialist dictatorship. Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot...Obama. Leftists always need a figurehead to worship.

Again, their problem is that the American people are seeing how badly the politicians are screwing everything up. More and more people are waking up and seeing the mess the politicians are making of this country.

10 or 15 years ago, the Democrats could count on the virtual monopoly that their allies in the mainstream media had to shape public opinion. But now TV news outlets - NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN - are hemorrhaging viewers. And all of the major newspapers (left-wing, all) have a fraction of their former readers.

The Democrats/Left are losing control of the narrative. Their "boiling frog" method of slowly, incrementally instituting their Socialist agenda no longer works because too many people are getting their news from other sources and are noticing how badly this country is being screwed up.

And now they are desperate. They have a Communist President in office, they control the Senate and the House is controlled by a bunch of Republicans who are more interested in their own well-being than in what's good for this country.

The Democrat radicals know that their time is now. They will never get this chance again. It's time to go "all-in".

Everything that the Democrats have done in the past 4 years harms this country. Everything! There are two possibilities:

a) They are all really stupid and don't understand how their policies hurt this country, or

b) They are tearing this country apart on purpose.

All you need to know is that, Karl Marx, the "Father of Communism" stated that to implement Socialism, the existing system had to be destroyed.

Very interesting article. A small, informal poll of some law enforcement officers and veterans regarding Obama ordering the confiscation of firearms.

I've always said that, when the Left planned for their little "revolution", they made one big mistake: the vast majority of people who like guns, own guns and know anything about guns despise the Leftist commies.

Hard to have a revolution if you have no one to fight for you. The Occupy Wall Street kids would be their best bet, and can you imagine those spoiled dopes trying to fight veterans, hunters and former law enforcement officers?*

The author does make one very important point at the end of the article, however. Could the Left's plan be to foment civil war and then call in UN troops to quell it?

Well, from what I've seen of the UN troops, they wouldn't be much more of a threat than the OWS kids. Unless, of course they hope to win by running prostitution rings and taking bribes. I've never actually seen them fire a shot in anger. Usually, when the bullets start flying, they run and hide.

Tell It Like It Is

Liberals use two "arguments" to try to make their ant-gun points.

1) "Nobody needs an "assault rifle" for hunting."

2) "Assault rifles and handguns are only made to kill people."

To which your reply should be, "Yep."

Apart from the sporting aspects of owning guns, their primary purpose is to kill people.

The Democrats who are urging Obama (.pdf) to issue "Executive Orders" to advance their agenda and bypass Congress seem to forget one thing: There won't always be a Democrat President in power. Like the children that they are, in their haste to get whatever it is that they want, it never occurs to them that the knife cuts both ways. Yes, they really are that stupid.

In the event that Republicans make good on their threat by failing to act, or by moving unilaterally to pass a debt limit extension only as part of unbalanced or unreasonable legislation, we believe you must be willing to take any lawful steps to ensure that America does not break its promises and trigger a global economic crisis -- without Congressional approval, if necessary.

What's going to happen when the American people get sick of having the Democrat Party's dictatorial, freedom-killing decrees rammed down their throats and elect a Republican (or other Conservative Party candidate - hey...I can dream) for President.

How will the Democrats/Leftists react when said President issues executive orders severely restricting abortion? Or requiring all welfare recipients who are physically able to work for their benefits? Or outright nullifying gun-control laws previously passed by Congress?

I'll tell you how they'll react. They'll whip themselves into a frenzy and scream, "But that's different!". Just like any six-year-old would.

OK, so the Leftist media, professors, politicians, pundits, etc. want to infringe upon our 2nd Amendment rights.

I say we let them reinstate the "assault weapons" ban and infringe upon our 2nd Amendment rights on one condition: we get to infringe upon their 1st Amendment rights.

Any of the Leftist "intellectuals" whose livelihood depends on the freedom of speech granted in the 1st Amendment shall be subject to fines or imprisonment if they are caught lying, spewing disinformation, misrepresenting people's views, not reporting news that doesn't help their political agenda or attacking those with a differing political viewpoint.

Oh, I know what they'll say. "But people don't die when we make 'mistakes'".

Is that right?

When New York Times reporter Walter Duranty intentionally covered up the crimes of the murderous Stalin dictatorship in the Soviet Union, 50 million people died.

When the Left fanatically embraced Rachel Carson's book, "Silent Spring" in the 1970's, and was successful in getting the pesticide DDT banned to save a few birds, tens-of-millions of human beings in third-world countries died because insects ate their food.

And those are just two examples. If you add up all of the deaths that Leftist "intellectuals" are responsible for, it easily approaches one billion.

How many "mass shootings" would it take to equal those numbers?

If they get to infringe upon our 2nd Amendment rights to supposedly save, maybe, 75 people per year from "mass shootings" (and we all know that their "assault weapon" ban wouldn't save those lives), it's only fair that they should let us infringe upon their freedom of speech to save millions of lives, right?

The Snobs "Up Front"

Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe has it exactly right: Everyone laments the "outsourcing" of manufacturing jobs to other countries, but those same jobs are sneered at here in America. And employers are whining that they can't find anyone to fill the "skilled-labor" positions.

Add to that the fact that most employers require some kind of degree for even menial jobs, and it's no wonder that we can't fill our own manufacturing positions. It is really nothing more than the snobbery of those in hiring positions believing that the only people that deserve a position in their organization are those that have some kind of degree. Because - well - because they have a degree, which means that they are above the hoi polloi blue-collar worker. Being self-taught or having on-the-job training just isn't good enough for them.

Given that most post-secondary schools nowadays are nothing more than diploma mills that teach their students what to think, rather than how to think, it is a ridiculous assumption. I have over 6 years of post-secondary education, so I know whence I speak: People who should have been allowed to fail and quit the program were passed with high grades. Because if the warm bodies aren't in the seats, the institution doesn't get any money for them.

Most of the really clueless people in manufacturing today are the people who work on the other side of the wall from the factory...i.e. the "educated" people in the office. The sheer stupidity that I have encountered from them in my career has been mind-boggling.

Case in point: Employers complaining that they can't find anyone to fill skilled labor jobs...but requiring educational credentials to fill those jobs, no matter the other qualifications of the candidates. And they can't make the connection between those two simple things. I don't know where I first heard the term, but they have been called, "credentialed idiots".

I may be "just" a blue-collar grease-monkey, but I'll match wits with the best of them, anytime. I have the distinct advantage of 30 years living in the real world.

Liberals hate themselves. Deep down, they know that they are self-centered, neurotic, emotionally-stunted children who don't really care about anyone else.

And, if they are that messed up, so they think, their ideological enemies (i.e. Conservatives) must be downright evil! After all, if Liberals are the good guys and they're that screwed up, Conservatives must be psychotic!

We all know that they are going to be tax slaves to the various governments - Federal, state, local and, eventually, the UN - but the worst part will be that they'll be intellectually enslaved.

In Orwell's "1984", it was posited that, eventually, after the Elite had changed the language enough, thoughts that didn't agree with the rulers would be, quite literally, impossible.

"Racist" no longer has anything to do with race. It simply means that you disagree with the Elite's view of a subject. It doesn't even, necessarily, have to have any bearing on race.

"Hate" no longer has anything to do with hatred. It just means that you disagree with the Elite's view of a subject. If you disagree with gay marriage, you are a "hater". If you disagree with letting millions of illegal immigrants into this country, you are a "hater". And the list goes on.

"Education" no longer has anything to do with intellectual education. It is a euphemism for the vast network of Leftists indoctrinating our children, including the teachers unions and University "Intellectuals" (who rarely use whatever intellect they may have).

"Global Warming" was foisted upon us for years until it was pointed out that the earth was actually cooling. At which point, the Leftist control freaks changed the term to "Climate Change". Which, if they would have been half as intelligent as they like to think they are, they would have went with in the first place. Climate change happens constantly and has been happening since the earth began. But the fools who are susceptible to the Leftist propaganda don't know that.

"Revenues" are what normal people used to call taxes. "Increasing revenues" means raising taxes. So does the word, "Investing" when used by a Liberal, as in, "Investing in our children's future". That simply means that Democrats want to raise taxes and spend the money on things that will actually harm our children's future by increasing the debt that our children will one day have to pay back.

The list of the words/phrases that the Left has corrupted could go on and on. When they control academia (see "Education, above), the media and the bureaucracy in Washington DC, we are truly into the realm of Orwellian thought control.

The only antidote to it all is to teach your children to be skeptical and cynical when it comes to what they see and hear in the mass barrage of information thrown at them every day.

I taught my daughter, and now she defines "cool" for the other kids. Being against "the man" is natural for teenagers. It's just a matter of letting them know why they should be against the ruling Elites.

The Supreme Court upheld the "individual mandate" in Obamacare today.

What this means is that the Federal government can now write a contract, give it to insurance companies, and force you to sign - and PAY - for it. And there is nothing you can do about it.

Which means that there is nothing that the Federal government can't make you do from now on.

If they decide that they want you to be more "green", they can make you buy and install solar panels. Or buy an electric car.

If they want you to be more healthy, they can force you into a contract with a "health food" company.

If they deem you mentally unstable because you disagree with them, they can force you to enter into a contract with a mental health facility.

They can now manipulate any behavior that they want to. For your own good, of course. Because they know better than you do how to live your life. You see: you are not a member of the elite. Hence you are too stupid to take care of yourself. Sadly, half the country seems comfortable with this.

Most of you won't recognize the momentous significance of this day but, unless Congress can repeal this law, America is no longer the Constitutional Republic that it was founded as.

For those of you who voted for Obama and the Democrats so that they'd take care of you so that you could watch American Idol and not have to think...don't come whining to me when the government is forcing you to do things that you don't want to do. This is the "Change" that you voted for.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember back in 2007 many Republicans & Conservatives saying that, maybe, we should just stay home, let Obama win, show the country what a disaster electing a Socialist would be, and letting the country come back to us in 2010.

And I also seem to remember some of the "greatest" minds of the right-wing political world telling us that it would be a really bad thing to do. That it wouldn't work. That we couldn't risk it. That the American people would just drift farther to the left once they got a taste of Big Nannyism. That we should just vote for the RINO because the slow train to Socialism is better than the fast train.

And now here we are: Obama won, the Democrat Party is, mostly, despised and discredited. Their left-wing agenda and totalitarian tactics have been rejected by a very large majority of the American people. The corruption of their people and their processes has been exposed like a bug under a rock and they're scurrying away from the sunlight as fast as they can.

Conservatism has shot up like a rocket, people are demanding that the Constitution be adhered to, big-government is seen as the problem and not the solution and the Tea Party Movement has brought millions of previously uninvolved people to the side of sanity.

All because nobody could get really excited about voting for RINO John McCain and, therefore, guaranteed a win by Socialist Barack Obama.

And what I find really amazing is that I seem to be the only person who remembers this. I haven't heard a peep about it anywhere. I don't mean this in any self-aggrandizing way. I really am just amazed that nobody else seems to have brought this up.

It just goes to show - once again - that you should never rely on the opinion of an "expert".

Insanity Is...

The popular definition of insanity is, "doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different result."

Well, for the past 50 years we've been following the "Buckley Rule" which states that you're supposed to support the most Conservative candidate who can win. And, for the past 50 years, this country has been sliding ever closer to outright Communism.

I have no doubt that Bill Buckley was a genius but, apparently, not even he could see where that philosophy would lead us.

The flaw in the theory is that you never really know who can win. Could Mike Castle win in Delaware? Probably. But...could Christine O'Donnell win? Quite possibly. Especially if Chris Coonz's "bearded Marxist" comments get out into the general public. The country, including Delaware, has seen Marxism in action for the past 2 years and it scares the Hell out of them.

What the "Buckley Rule" has gotten us is a bunch of Democrats with an "R" next to their name. And, the farther Left that the Democrat Party slides, the farther left that the Republican Party slides. So what in the Hell is the sense in continuing that?

From now on, we need "The Exile Rule": vote for the most Conservative person in the race. Period. Polls have shown forever that this country is majority Conservative.

Why can't the likes of "political genius" Karl Rove make that simple connection?

OK, I am hearing nothing but, "Christine O'Donnell can't win" in Delaware. She can't win, she can't win, she can't win...blah, blah, blah ad infinitum.

Says who? The "experts"? The "experts" only go off of what they've seen in the past. And the tectonic shift in the political world is, quite possibly, like nothing that this country has ever seen.

For the past 100 years "progressivism" (aka Communism) has been taking over this country in baby steps, occasionally making headlines, but nothing like the daily barrage of destruction that this country is seeing today. The extreme left has taken over the Democrat Party and has gone "all in" with Obama/Reid/Pelosi. They have abandoned subtlety and pounded their agenda down America's throat with a sledgehammer.

And America is horrified.

As long as the Left stuck to the "boiling frog" tactic of slowly advancing their agenda, not enough people noticed at one time to put up any resistance. But now that huge numbers of people see what Socialism really is, they want no part of it.

And, hopefully, that includes a majority of the voters in Delaware.

Can Christine O'Donnell win in Delaware? I think that it is at least very possible, if not likely.

The rules have changed amazingly fast. And we've entered an era of politics in America that is unlike anything we've ever seen.

The despicable behavior of the GOP elitist establishment there shows that, by using liberal scorched-earth tactics against O'Donnell, they are nothing more than quasi-liberal elitists themselves.

They did the same thing that liberals do when they feel their power threatened: they try to destroy the person on a personal level.

The GOP elite in Delaware, and nationally, have become nothing more than elitist snobs who believe that they are entitled to their power. They are acting like liberals/six-year-olds because they know that a very significant part of the party will no longer hold their noses and vote for whomever the GOP anoints. Bob Dole, George W. Bush and John McCain have shown us what happens when we do that, and we're having no more of it.

The Conservatives are ascendant in the party, and it scares the Hell out of the elites in the GOP. As well it should: Their reign of foolishness is just about over, and we're coming for them, next.

After this election, we have about a year to oust them before the 2012 campaign starts. Then maybe we can get a real Conservative to run for a change. Remember: that hasn't happened since 1984.

What We Can Look Forward To

When the Republicans take over the House (and possibly the Senate), and give the business world some optimism (dare I say "hope"?), the economy will start to rebound for real.

When that happens, don't be surprised when the Leftists/Democrats take credit for it by saying that it was their and Obama's policies which were already in place that "just took time" to turn the economy around.

If you can't find the time to look into anyone beyond what you see on the nightly news, you really shouldn't be voting. You're ignorance has made my daughter's chance at a decent life pretty slim. She'll be paying for your decision to vote for Obama because he's "black" (hah!) or he's "cute" or because he "speaks well" (he doesn't speak well...he makes appropriate facial gestures related to what he's reading on the teleprompter).

Really: if you feel a need to vote, stick with "American Idol". It's only your "civic duty" to vote if you know what you're voting for.

I really am going to walk around saying this stuff to any Liberal that I happen to meet. Let them know how stupid they sounded for eight years. I'm sure that the humor and irony will be completely lost on them - it's much too complex - but at least I'll be entertained.

Fooling the Fools

Obama keeping Bush appointees in position? Appointing Washington insiders and/or Clinton cronies to various posts (not to mention Hillary herself)? Going back on his word to close Guantanamo?

Why is anyone surprised? America has just elected a two-bit race hustler from Chicago to the highest office in the land. That's all that he is. The Left and the fools who pay more attention to American Idol than what's really going on in this country have fallen for the biggest con in history.

To those on the Left: don't feel too bad. In one sense Obama really is just like you: his only ideology is whatever gets him more power and attention. Much like the Clintons (and you on the Left) it really is "all about me".

But then, fooling the naive and uninformed is really no great feat, is it?

Any Day Now...

In view of the recent reports showing that the earth may actually be cooling, how long do you think it will be (or how much money amassed) before Al Gore claims that his initiative solved global warming and averted catastrophe?

I'm thinking that Al "It's All ABout Me" Gore is chafing at Barack Obama taking up all of the lovely, lovely limelight and will have to do something drastic to refocus the spotlight on himself.

He could also use that as an excuse for his ever-expanding carbon footprint:

NASHVILLE - In the year since Al Gore took steps to make his home more energy-efficient, the former Vice President’s home energy use surged more than 10%, according to the Tennessee Center for Policy Research.

“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”

Does anyone need any more proof that Democrats and those on the Left are absolute fools and uninformed morons? After all, this guy is credible in their eyes.

When the Levee Breaks - Or Did It?

OK - who did it?

While the Cedar River ebbed in hard-hit Cedar Rapids, a levee breach in the state capital of Des Moines flooded a neighborhood of more than 200 homes, a high school and about three dozen businesses.

I think that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson blew up the levees and destroyed the neighborhood to get rid of all of the white people in Des Moines so that the Democrats could move their people in there and have a reliable voting bloc for themselves.

In fact, it's quite possible that Al Gore engineered the weather to give them cover for their nefarious plan! After all, for a man who invented the internet, a weather machine should be a piece of cake. That would also explain all of this global warming stuff.

Or could it be that when levees fail in black neighborhoods it's a Republican plot, but when they fail in snow-white Des Moines - well - that's just nature taking it's course. Other than the fact that Americans caused the climate to change, I mean.

Question:

Will the Democrat Party ever be able to nominate a white male for President of the United States again?

If the Republican Party doesn't understand the level of discontent in their base after this shellacking, there is no hope of them ever hitting rock-bottom (see post below) and changing course to save themselves.

The comment section on this RNCC blog post is an amazing look at just how upset Conservatives are. If the Republican bigwigs can read this and still think that they have a prayer of winning in November, they are even more deluded than I thought possible.

Time to Stop the Enabling

When dealing with addicts of any type, there is a term that is often heard: Enabling.

When you help an addict or a drunk solve the problems that result from their bad behavior (i.e. bailing them out of jail, "loaning" them money, etc.) you are doing nothing more than prolonging their suffering. You are "enabling" them to continue their destructive behavior. If it's done long enough, it often results in that persons death.

Since 1988, when Ronald Reagan left office, most of us have "held our noses" and voted for people who were not Conservatives. And, not coincidentally, the Republican Party has slid farther and farther to the Left. To the point where the Republican Party is on the verge of officially nominating a man who has again and again and again betrayed the principles that were the hallmarks of the Republican party.

When the Republicans were given power in 1994 they started off well, but slowly-but-surely they became addicted to the lure of money and power until the year 2000 when many of us, with some trepidation, voted for George W. Bush. After that, with absolute power, their death-spiral of addictive behavior accelerated - as it always does with addicts. And, also as with addicts, their behavior became more and more destructive; not just to themselves (via their morals and integrity), but to others - in this case the entire country.

In other words, those of us who have "held our noses" and voted for Bush I, Bob Dole, and Bush II (not to mention many other Senators and Congressmen) have been enabling the destructive behavior of these liberal Republicans. To the point where there is a very real danger to the very country that we live in.

There is another term in the treatment of addicts that comes in handy here: Rock-bottom.

Most addicts will only get help when they have hit rock-bottom. When they have lost everything that they care about and their lives are an absolute disaster.

And when you enable an addict you never let them get to that rock bottom. You keep them from hitting that place where they have to decide whether they want to change their behavior or die.

It's always very, very hard to do, but the most loving thing that you can do for someone in that situation is to take away all of the support that you've been giving them and let them crash and burn - praying that the fall doesn't kill them.

And now it's time to quit holding our noses and voting for the lesser of two evils. When we have reached the point of nominating a Republican who has voted like a Liberal Democrat for years and stabbed the very people who supported him in the back time and time again (another hallmark of addictive behavior), it's obvious that we're no longer helping the Republican party by enabling their bad behavior. It's time to let them hit bottom.

I will not vote for John McCain. Not for so much as dog-catcher. He is a symptom of the disease of Liberalism which has infected the Republican party. Like alcoholism, it's a chronic, progressive (heh) disease and it will only get worse if allowed to do so.

Nor will I vote for Senator Norm Coleman. In his run against the presumed Democrat nominee, Al Franken, the two have become almost indistinguishable (except that, as far as I know, Coleman pays his taxes before he advocates raising them on the rest of us).

For now, at least, I wash my hands of the Republican Party. It's time to let them sink or swim. If we continue to support them, they will never hit bottom and be forced to decide on a new course.

Let's See How This Flies...

Since it was the Democrats* who relentlessly fought for slavery, Jim Crow laws and against civil rights for blacks, why don't we have everyone who has consistently voted Democrat in this country pay "reparations" to the "black community"?

After all, blacks argue that they deserve reparations because of the suffering that they endured and the free labor that they did, right? Well, the people who caused that suffering and kept them in slavery were Democrats. Hence, the people who caused the suffering should be the ones to pay.

That would be one issue that we'd never hear about again.

* If you've never been to Stop the Republicans, it is a MUST read! It is a detailed timeline of the despicable lengths that the Democrat Party went to keep blacks in this country enslaved from 1854 until the present. And it shows without any doubt that it was always the Republican Party that was fighting for freedom for black people. The fact that most people have little or no idea of this history shows the Orwellian twist that only Leftists can put on an issue.

It is an incredibly valuable resource any time you hear the word "Republican" being equated with "racist".

"Progress" Doesn't Mean What You Think It Does

I hear a lot of Conservatives ridiculing "Progressives" for seeming to be against progress. After all, everything that they do seems to go against any real progress as you and I define the term. In fact, their entire philosophy is rooted in the long-dead mind of a Leftist misfit who lived over 100 years ago. How's that for progress?

But to understand how a Leftist defines progress you only need to remember one thing: Socialism was an imperfect but necessary step in progressing to the "perfection" of real Communism.

In the old Soviet Union, where the population was constantly inundated with short, propagandistic slogans (now, who has the "bumper sticker" ideology?), one of the most prevalent consisted of the word 'Progress!'

In fact, during the Soyuz space station days, the space vehicle used to resupply the station was even named Progress.

Their entire system was designed to create the conditions necessary to progress towards International Socialism first and, eventually, to real Communism where every person was exactly the equal of (i.e. the same as) the next. Little robots that the State could use (and destroy) however it saw fit.

And so, when you hear anyone calling themselves a "progressive", trying to see in their ideology what any sane person would call progress is utterly futile. It's apples and oranges. We're not speaking of the same thing.

We're speaking of the betterment of mankind in terms of liberty, freedom, science, etc.

They're speaking in terms of the progression of mankind to be servants of the State.

Could It Be?

Is it possible that the "Man-made Global Warming" hysteria has peaked and we're finally getting a little common sense out there? If this decision by the EPA is any indication, maybe so.

Liberals in Congress and environmentalists are predictably apoplectic over the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision to seek public comment before issuing regulations under the Clean Air Act on carbon emissions. House Energy Independence and Global Warming Chairman Ed Markey (D-Mass.) accused the Bush administration of “running out the clock” on global warming, and Senate Environment and Public Works Chairwoman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said the EPA has had nearly year since the Supreme Court directed the agency to act on carbon emissions but, “now, instead of action, we get more foot-dragging.”

Al Gore may want to reconsider that bid for the White House. If the word's finally getting out that all of this is based on junk science and is nothing more than a Socialist power-grab, he may need a new job soon.

The State of Conservatism

I think that Mr. Buckley died just so that he could roll over in his grave at what "Conservatism" has become.

Two Questions

1) Will Hillary cry in public when she has to admit that her lifelong dream has been snatched away from her at the last minute?

2) Who will she blame it on? We know for a fact that she'll take no responsibility for it.

"Believing" - Until You Don't Need To

What ever happened to John Ashcroft who was, once upon a time, the most hated and evil man in the world? At least by Democrats.

Or Karl Rove, for that matter?

These two (and many others) were the subject of thousands of screeching, daily rants warning the American people of how they were going to (literally, in Ashcroft's case) bring Armageddon down upon the world.

Funny, but you hardly ever hear about either of them any more. You only hear about Rove because he writes a column for Newsweak magazine. John Ashcroft may as well have gone on to his reward for as much as the Left mentions him anymore.

Could it be that maybe the Left didn't really believe that these guys were as bad as they said they were? I doubt it. At least during the time that they were shuddering in fear over these "evil, warmongering, Christian haters", they believed every word that spewed from their spittle-flecked lips.

It's just another sign of the Orwellian insanity of being a Leftist that they truly believed that John Ashcroft was the Antichrist - until he no longer threatened their power or policies. Once he no longer threatened them, he became just another human being, no longer imbued with the power to destroy the earth.

And I'd bet that not one of them made the connection between their irrational hatred, their political ideology and the fact that John Ashcroft abruptly disappeared from their radar screen. Once Ashcroft stepped down, he became a non-person. He disappeared - just like mommy does, in an infant's mind, when she leaves the room.

When a Leftist hates someone, it is always in a self-righteous, "I'm going to personally help save the world from this person" point of view. They use the worst epithets that they can possibly think of to describe them, and they believe every word that they are saying at the time.

And then, when this evil person goes off and retires, the Leftists apparently lose the belief that something needs to be done about them. Karl Rove apparently chose being a columnist over world domination.

To be a Liberal is to be completely deranged.

Appearances and Ann Coulter's joke about him notwithstanding, its really too bad that John Edwards isn't gay. Think about it: they'd have all three of their biggest victims groups represented - women, blacks and gays.

Watching Hillary (via her subordinates, of course) try to call Barack Obama a "nigger" and still maintain her elitist liberal image is absolutely fascinating. Especially when you consider that Obama has, as far as I know, never once tried to use the race card. In this day and age, when blacks go ballistic over things that have nothing to do with race (i.e. "niggardly") that's unheard of. I give him all the credit in the world for that.

It's not that Obama doesn't actually believe that blacks are a horribly oppressed minority in this country, as evidenced by the racist church to which he belongs. Hell, he wouldn't be a liberal if he didn't believe in the supposed inherent racism in this country. But he has managed to restrain himself on the campaign trail at least.

And then you have Hillary and her fellow man-hating feminist travelers whining about the boys picking on her and not giving her a level playing field to play on. At least when she isn't crying like a little girl.

(I, for one, believe that her tears were completely real: after 35 years of plotting to become the first female President, her dream looked as if it were crumbling within 11 months of achieving it.)

If only John Edwards really was gay, we could have the pleasure of watching him whine about getting the shaft (sorry, couldn't resist) because of his sexual orientation and attacking Obama for being a man. And attacking Hillary for being even more of a man (except when she's crying).

The Democrats are showing their true colors in this race: after decades of preaching to us about how tolerant they are towards others, their power-at-all-costs mentality comes shining through in their attacks on one another regarding the very things which they'd like us to think they are tolerant of.

We on the Right always knew that they were a bunch of lying hypocrites. Now the rest of the country gets to see it, too.
