I don't know which I'm enjoying more: these Lefty children throwing a tantrum because their unrealistic expectations aren't being met, or Obama's deer-in-the-headlights cluelessness now that he has lost most of his power.

Fooling the Fools

Obama keeping Bush appointees in position? Appointing Washington insiders and/or Clinton cronies to various posts (not to mention Hillary herself)? Going back on his word to close Guantanamo?

Why is anyone surprised? America has just elected a two-bit race hustler from Chicago to the highest office in the land. That's all that he is. The Left and the fools who pay more attention to American Idol than what's really going on in this country have fallen for the biggest con in history.

To those on the Left: don't feel too bad. In one sense Obama really is just like you: his only ideology is whatever gets him more power and attention. Much like the Clintons (and you on the Left) it really is "all about me".

But then, fooling the naive and uninformed is really no great feat, is it?

Any Day Now...

In view of the recent reports showing that the earth may actually be cooling, how long do you think it will be (or how much money amassed) before Al Gore claims that his initiative solved global warming and averted catastrophe?

I'm thinking that Al "It's All ABout Me" Gore is chafing at Barack Obama taking up all of the lovely, lovely limelight and will have to do something drastic to refocus the spotlight on himself.

He could also use that as an excuse for his ever-expanding carbon footprint:

“A man’s commitment to his beliefs is best measured by what he does behind the closed doors of his own home,” said Drew Johnson, President of the Tennessee Center for Policy Research. “Al Gore is a hypocrite and a fraud when it comes to his commitment to the environment, judging by his home energy consumption.”

Does anyone need any more proof that Democrats and those on the Left are absolute fools and uninformed morons? After all, this guy is credible in their eyes.

When the Levee Breaks - Or Did It?

OK - who did it?

While the Cedar River ebbed in hard-hit Cedar Rapids, a levee breach in the state capital of Des Moines flooded a neighborhood of more than 200 homes, a high school and about three dozen businesses.

I think that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson blew up the levees and destroyed the neighborhood to get rid of all of the white people in Des Moines so that the Democrats could move their people in there and have a reliable voting bloc for themselves.

In fact, it's quite possible that Al Gore engineered the weather to give them cover for their nefarious plan! After all, for a man who invented the internet, a weather machine should be a piece of cake. That would also explain all of this global warming stuff.

Or could it be that when levees fail in black neighborhoods it's a Republican plot, but when they fail in snow-white Des Moines - well - that's just nature taking it's course. Other than the fact that Americans caused the climate to change, I mean.

Question:

Will the Democrat Party ever be able to nominate a white male for President of the United States again?

"Progress" Doesn't Mean What You Think It Does

I hear a lot of Conservatives ridiculing "Progressives" for seeming to be against progress. After all, everything that they do seems to go against any real progress as you and I define the term. In fact, their entire philosophy is rooted in the long-dead mind of a Leftist misfit who lived over 100 years ago. How's that for progress?

But to understand how a Leftist defines progress you only need to remember one thing: Socialism was an imperfect but necessary step in progressing to the "perfection" of real Communism.

In the old Soviet Union, where the population was constantly inundated with short, propagandistic slogans (now, who has the "bumper sticker" ideology?), one of the most prevalent consisted of the word 'Progress!'

In fact, during the Soyuz space station days, the space vehicle used to resupply the station was even named Progress.

Their entire system was designed to create the conditions necessary to progress towards International Socialism first and, eventually, to real Communism where every person was exactly the equal of (i.e. the same as) the next. Little robots that the State could use (and destroy) however it saw fit.

And so, when you hear anyone calling themselves a "progressive", trying to see in their ideology what any sane person would call progress is utterly futile. It's apples and oranges. We're not speaking of the same thing.

We're speaking of the betterment of mankind in terms of liberty, freedom, science, etc.

They're speaking in terms of the progression of mankind to be servants of the State.

Could It Be?

Is it possible that the "Man-made Global Warming" hysteria has peaked and we're finally getting a little common sense out there? If this decision by the EPA is any indication, maybe so.

Liberals in Congress and environmentalists are predictably apoplectic over the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision to seek public comment before issuing regulations under the Clean Air Act on carbon emissions. House Energy Independence and Global Warming Chairman Ed Markey (D-Mass.) accused the Bush administration of “running out the clock” on global warming, and Senate Environment and Public Works Chairwoman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said the EPA has had nearly year since the Supreme Court directed the agency to act on carbon emissions but, “now, instead of action, we get more foot-dragging.”

Al Gore may want to reconsider that bid for the White House. If the word's finally getting out that all of this is based on junk science and is nothing more than a Socialist power-grab, he may need a new job soon.

Two Questions

1) Will Hillary cry in public when she has to admit that her lifelong dream has been snatched away from her at the last minute?

2) Who will she blame it on? We know for a fact that she'll take no responsibility for it.

"Believing" - Until You Don't Need To

What ever happened to John Ashcroft who was, once upon a time, the most hated and evil man in the world? At least by Democrats.

Or Karl Rove, for that matter?

These two (and many others) were the subject of thousands of screeching, daily rants warning the American people of how they were going to (literally, in Ashcroft's case) bring Armageddon down upon the world.

Funny, but you hardly ever hear about either of them any more. You only hear about Rove because he writes a column for Newsweak magazine. John Ashcroft may as well have gone on to his reward for as much as the Left mentions him anymore.

Could it be that maybe the Left didn't really believe that these guys were as bad as they said they were? I doubt it. At least during the time that they were shuddering in fear over these "evil, warmongering, Christian haters", they believed every word that spewed from their spittle-flecked lips.

It's just another sign of the Orwellian insanity of being a Leftist that they truly believed that John Ashcroft was the Antichrist - until he no longer threatened their power or policies. Once he no longer threatened them, he became just another human being, no longer imbued with the power to destroy the earth.

And I'd bet that not one of them made the connection between their irrational hatred, their political ideology and the fact that John Ashcroft abruptly disappeared from their radar screen. Once Ashcroft stepped down, he became a non-person. He disappeared - just like mommy does, in an infant's mind, when she leaves the room.

When a Leftist hates someone, it is always in a self-righteous, "I'm going to personally help save the world from this person" point of view. They use the worst epithets that they can possibly think of to describe them, and they believe every word that they are saying at the time.

And then, when this evil person goes off and retires, the Leftists apparently lose the belief that something needs to be done about them. Karl Rove apparently chose being a columnist over world domination.

To be a Liberal is to be completely deranged.

Wanted: Adult Moderator

Everyone who believes in global warming, raise your hand!

A few years back, my daughter used to do that: "Whoever wants ice cream, raise your hand!"

If the Dhimmocrats want to use their fellow children as moderators, all well and good. But when are Republicans just going to say, "enough!"?

Good for Fred Thompson for finally putting the hostile little girl from The Des Moines Register in her place. When Liberals act like nasty little children, they should be treated like nasty little children.

It's just too bad that they waited until the last debate. They all should have done that from the beginning.

At the very least, Republicans should insist on at least one moderator in each debate who isn't a liberal trying to make Republicans look bad.

That way, we'd at least have some adult supervision.

Gee...What a Shock

Nobody on the Right will be surprised that Al Gore is willing to sacrifice the economy of America, the freedom of Americans and God only knows how many lives in third-world countries for his insatiable ego. After all, he's a Liberal. And, given the chance, that is what all Liberals would do.

Al Gore has come under fire for making personal gain from his mission to save the planet – after charging £3,300 a minute to deliver a poorly received speech.

The former American Vice-President was also accused of being "precious" at the London event, demanding his own VIP room and ejecting journalists, despite hopes the star-studded gathering would generate publicity for the fight against global warming.

"Al uses his position for great personal gain. He goes from event to event delivering a similar speech, earning a large fee, and a lot of the time he doesn't actually inform the audience.

"He refused to speak to journalists and security would usher away VIP guests and the Press.

"He was being very precious and demanded his own VIP room before the event, where he held his own exclusive reception.

"The other guests were cut off. It was very clear that many guests were disappointed by this."

The only people who will be surprised by this are his fellow disciples/Liberals who believe that Saint Algore can do no wrong. They are, of course, the same people who were surprised every time that Bill and Hillary were caught lying.

They are, of course, the same people whom Lenin called "useful idiots".

But...That's Different!

Let me guess: The National Intelligence Estimate saying that Iran has stopped it's nuclear-weapons program will be taken as Gospel by the Left.

But, the intelligence that said that Sadaam Hussein had WMD's was "cooked up" by the Bush Administration as an excuse to attack Iraq and steal all of their oil (which, by the way, we seem to be still waiting for...).

And yet, the Liberals will see no contradiction whatsoever.

Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.

The Joys of a Complete Lack of Memory

Correct me if I'm wrong (although I know that I'm not), but wasn't it just a few years ago that liberals were all in a tither about banks not giving loans to "low-income" (just like "inner-city", "low-income" is Libspeak for "minority") borrowers?

The Libs, ignoring the reality of the situation as they always do, were up in arms because loan applications from minorities were being rejected more often than those from non-minority applicants (which, as usual, includes Asians, who are a minority in this country). It never occurred to these Leftist morons that the banks were rejecting applications based on income and credit status and not on race.

And so, under threat of legislation and penalty, lenders were forced to give home loans to people who really had no business buying a house, regardless of race.

And now the housing market has gone bad (or, more accurately, back to normal), interest rates have risen, equity has plummeted, and people with Adjustable Rate Mortgages are being foreclosed upon because they can't pay their mortgages. Why? Because many of them are...low income earners!

So who's fault is it that these people took out loans that they couldn't afford? Is it Jesse Jackson and the rest of the left-wing race-industry's fault for strong-arming banks into giving these people loans that they should never have taken out in the first place?

Don't be silly. Nothing is ever the result of bad decisions made by liberals. Their role in the whole matter has been thrown down the memory-hole, never to be seen again.

No, it's all the fault of "predatory lenders" who were "greedily" fooling stupid low-income people into buying houses that they couldn't afford. The borrowers weren't at fault. In the eyes of the Left, poor equals stupid and easily-fooled (they do, after all, vote for Democrats). They just didn't know what they were getting into. There were too many words on the papers that told them what would happen if they didn't pay the loan.

The Liberal/Democrat Party should really rename itself the Wile E. Coyote Party: they get a bright idea, implement it, and it backfires with disastrous results. And, like Wile E. Coyote, the damage is immediately forgotten and it's on to the next foolish idea - which will also blow up in their face and be forgotten. Ad infinitum.

The only difference is that Wile E. Coyote doesn't blame the ACME company for his bad decisions.

Just a little story that I noticed in the world's most Leftist newspaper.

Police: Bus stop attack was a hate crime

A woman attacked at a bus stop in St. Paul on Monday was the victim of a hate crime, police said.

Cut in the face with a knife, the woman was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and treated for a laceration. Police said she was not seriously injured.

The suspect, who was arrested on suspicion of felony assault, approached the victim at a bus stop on the 800 block of Payne Avenue in St. Paul near York Avenue, police said.

He started yelling at her for no apparent reason, used racial slurs and told her to "get out of here," police said. Then he left the scene but came back with a knife and said,"I thought I told you to leave." He then attacked her with a knife, police said.

According to court documents, the suspect has an extensive record.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.

First of all, let's note that the neighborhood is in what we would call a "bad part of town". And that's putting it mildly.

Isn't it odd that, other than mentioning "racial slurs", the story never mentions why it's being considered a hate crime? No mention of either person's race at all. Wouldn't any normal person think that that little piece of information might relate to the story?

If you know the StarTribune, it doesn't take much thought to realize exactly who the suspect is: a member of one of their favored minority classes of whom nothing derogatory shall ever be said. If the victim were a white male, I guarantee you that you'd know about it. Mostly because the story would cover half of the front page, rather than a tiny story on page 8 of the "B" section.

On the bright side, the police were allowed to label it a hate crime. That in itself is somewhat amazing when you consider the fact that St. Paul is just slightly to the right of Minneapolis, which is slightly to the Left of Moscow in the heyday of the Soviet Union
